What is the difference between these nogs?

nog

Anyone know? “Classic” and “Original” are meaningless differentiators to me — they both tickle the same “authentic” purchase reflex. I went with “classic” — or was it “original”? — there’s no way to tell except to go look, and nuts to that…

  1. The best thing to do is to open one of each and then buy whichever one you like better. If questioned by the staff tell them that a taste test was required as the labelling wasn’t clear enough.

  2. The real solution is to make my own nog — by milking a cow and stealing plucking (?) some eggs. The confusion created by their marketing has broken my suspension of disbelief and reminded me that I can do things without being a consumer — disaster!

  3. It took Dairyland customer service 28 minutes to respond to my query:
    Classic is 3.5% fat
    Original is 1.5% fat

When I make my own eggnog it has a lot more fat than that…
