Philosophy and atheism and all that stuff is pretty good. But let’s face it: those guys will never get anywhere without a solid rock opera.
So, in the spirit of the Holy Week, I present the Gospel of Webber:
When we performed that in Catholic School the Anglicans had to play the Romans and the Pharisees. Good times. That’s where I developed my love of musical theatre… but now I’ve said too much.



I love the anachronisms in that rendition. Also: Wikipedia says that Chairman Kaga from Iron Chef played Jesus in one production!
Judas raises an interesting question at the start of the song: why manifest in a backwater of the Roman Empire, circa-0 BCE? I’m sure someone has made an argument for why it was particularly well-suited?
