They would allow for surreptitious installation of computer programs and – even more outrageously – would allow copyright owners to secretly access information on users’ computers.
Looks like I’m forced to support the NDP now? The NDP — I’m a fiscal conservative and social libertarian! It turns out the Bible was right again: “There’s a time for everything under the sun”, including supporting the ND-fucking-P (Ecc 3:1-10).
Rawls’ big mistake, the mistake all intelligent people seem to make, was assuming people act rationally. The Veil of Ignorance only works on people with a talent for fiction and induction — they don’t teach that stuff in business school, just raw aggression.
