Remember Darby O’Gill and the Little People? I didn’t. I used to watch this movie all the time, and it’s the kind of thing I’m talking about: Frightening, fantastic entertainment.

Janet Munro (Katie) really churns my butter, and listen to that language! Wow.

The easy part’s over. Now I’m designing a logo.

I’m a fan of the “emotional inspiration” method of design used at CMU by the EGP. You start by collecting things — music, art, poetry, sea shells, jade monkey skeletons, whatever — that generate an emotion in you with which you want to work. Eventually you reach a critical mass of feeling and the collection collapses into a singular idea.

My company is coming from a place of Celtic identity, Ghostbusters animated cartoons, and the Insane Clown Posse. Here’s some of the stuff in my bin:
