Lynch’s Dune is a classic. Fuck the suits and their “not a commercial success” bullshit. If the plebs had good taste we wouldn’t have artists.
Alternatively: Hollywood is so creatively bankrupt (also, financially) that they’re remaking commercial failures — so fuck the suits for that.

Lynch’s Dune is artistically brilliant, but it was supposed to be 3 – 4 hours long. Universal Pictures hacked it down to 137 minutes, making it incomprehensible to anyone unfamiliar with the source material.
