ยป My Life in Boxes
Jared’s on retreat and I’m retreating. We’ve boxed up the place in Van to paint and sell.
I’ve been on the move for a couple of months now. I’ve got my core possessions down to what fits in a carry-on bag. Except, that is, for the paraphernalia of my worst addiction.
I’m a degenerate bibliophile. If left unattended in a bookstore I’ll spend the grocery and rent money — all of it. I’ve broken my library down into labeled banker’s boxes. Here are the major categories with some representative titles, one per box so far:
- Writing and Film
- Poker and Magic
- Literature and Philosophy
- Business and Strategy
- Technology, Art, and Design
Ovid is my hero.
I have a giant collection of accounting books and notes, including a couple of copies of the tax act and some commentaries thereon. Recycling!
