The wheels are starting to turn, and the mill needs human grist:

You are cordially invited to spend an enchanting autumn evening with Green Party Leader Elizabeth May and fellow Green Party supporters.

This Sunday, a Green Party supporter has made available their home in Gordon Head for a cocktail fundraiser so we can start the campaign off on a really high note. Come give your support to the Party and help us to elect the first-ever Green MP.

Anyone interested let me know. I’ll probably attend, if for no other reason than to collect a description of the experience. It seems like something I’d enjoy writing about, like that one time I met Jack Layton.

Possibly I’ll pledge some form of technical or strategic labor, if they’ll have me (which somehow I doubt).

Riding association staff are quite adept at extracting labour while containing the risk of unsavory volunteers. If you volunteer and they don’t like you they’ll still put you to work, you just might not be very happy with the work you get assigned.

I’ve heard stories of IT people coming up with amazing labour savings during campaigns just because no one ever realised that computers can do stuff before.
