Some time ago, Alex pointed us to The London Lounge*, a Trad men’s forum. Trad is a phallo-centric, clothing-oriented counter-culture combining American 50′s mythology, anglophilia, and mens’ support groups. That being said, the site has much advice that can be applied to contemporary formal dress.
More recently, we decided we needed a pair of formal shoes and started seeking for the sort of obsessive-compulsive advice (/ advice for obsessive-compulsives) that only the Interweb can provide. In the process, we discovered two other forums that cover the less obsessed (and more Continental-aware, we believe), and the less formal parts of the men’s fashion-hobby spectrum.
