Augmented Reality Engineering

Augmented Reality is obviously the distilled nectar of the future, so I’ve been looking for SDKs. Here are some links:

    Oh, and here’s a demo you can run without a compiler, etc:

    You just need a webcam and a printer to run off the canonical images, then you can (via a config file) make it display any 3D content you like (it comes with some).

    Idea: Combine with that research into Wiimote 3D positioning and Z-brush for VIRTUAL SCULPTING.

    Idea: Remote presence “multiplayer” — object spawns two avatars, at least one of which is remotely controlled. They swordfight.

    Blah, this is just an excuse for Master’s degrees in HCI. I’ll believe it when there’s an Instructable with a Wiimote.
